People may attend college or university for different reasons. I personally believe that career preparation is the main and important factor for people who attend university. Because of highly competitive society we are living in better education and higher degree means better job and better salary in future. Also having lectures, articles and patents are important factors for employers so we have to come up with better knowledge and degrees and beat our competitors.
Whereas some students may attend to university or college to have better understanding about special knowledge most of the students I know looking for a better university and diploma to have stable career in future. Technology and knowledge are changing rapidly and amount of science will double each year. University as a tools can be helpful for students to get their path and do more research in specific topic but as matter of fact don't want to attend university to be researcher.
Some people have their own businesses but they are not satisfied with their education level. They understand the main benefit of going to university. One of the business man that I know him very well told me that if I applied for college I got to this point of wealth 10 years earlier. This example point out that when you are going to college you are just invest on yourself and after graduation your point of view will be changed obviously.
Benefiting new skills for daily life, getting the pleasure of just better thinking and diming in to better understanding they beauty of the world are also attract students to get university degree.
As it's clear for me every person depend on what he/she is actually needs determine the purposes of what he/she may apply.

Our earth with its ecosystem is such an amazing creature that up to now we couldn't discovered such a system in universe. We have just one earth and is waste our natural resources we don't have subtitle for it.
Our natural resources are very scare. Therefore we must preserve them as much as we can. One of the main natural resources that didn't supplied as the rate we consumed is drinkable water.
Every year we over use our natural water for aggregation for the reason that we don't have suitable watering systems. Another important issue is the pollution of underground water by many kinds of natural and artificial fertilizers.
Ellino that coined for global warming effect causes a lot of rivers all over the world be dead. Moreover it caused most of the small lakes that are very important for the ecosystem of that location go to disappear. As you know ecosystems chained into together and when one chain stopped or slowed it guide to danger other cycles.
By producing lower carbon dioxide and using green energies like wind and solar powered machines we can care more about our earth temperature which cause drought many where. Also by using modern irrigation methods and using water economically for consumption we can let rime for nature to cure himself normally without any harmful interfering by human being.
